AI-powered practice · Parlumo

A little less hesitation

For the gap between understanding and speaking.

Parlumo is for learners with basic Spanish and intermediate learners who want to build more complex, useful phrases and sound more natural.

How it works

A simple loop.
More speaking.

  1. 01

    Listen

You’re asked in English: “How do you say: Can you help me with this?” If the phrase is new, the Spanish target appears first so you can learn it.

    The phrase

How do you say: Can you help me with this?

  2. 02

    Speak

Say the phrase out loud from memory. If you already know it, you’ll respond without hearing the Spanish first.

    Your attempt

    ¿Me puedes ayudar?

  3. 03

    Get feedback

Compare your spoken phrase with the full target sentence. See what you missed.

    The phrase

    ¿Me puedes ayudar con esto?

  4. 04

    Practise again

Try the phrase again—or a different one that works on the same grammar mistake.

    Another go

How do you say: Can you help me with this?

Inside the app / feedback

See what you missed.

A sentence can be almost there. Compare your spoken phrase with the target and see which words were left out, added or spoken differently.

Not just “try again”. A specific part of what you need working on will appear in different phrases.

Inside the app / lesson review

Finish with a clearer picture.

After a lesson, review your accuracy, fluency and grammar—three ways to reflect on your speaking practice.

Three parts of your lesson review

  • Accuracy

How closely your spoken phrase matches the target.

  • Fluency

How smoothly you speak the phrase.

  • Grammar

Grades grammar, identifies mistakes that keep recurring, and gives specific focus areas to improve.

A note from the maker

Built for the kind of Spanish practice I wanted.

I wanted a way to practise real Spanish—not just chat with AI and hope I was improving. So I built Parlumo to help you speak, spot what needs work, and practise it until it sticks.

A few things to know

Before you begin.

A clear picture of who it’s for and what’s in the app today.

Is Parlumo right for my level?

Parlumo works for those from beginners with no Spanish experience to learners who already know the basics and want to build more complex, useful phrases. It is also suitable for intermediate learners who want to sound more natural.

What happens in a practice session?

You’re asked in English how to say a phrase. If the phrase is new, you’ll see the Spanish first. Then you speak it, compare your response with the target, and see what you missed. Practice may return to the same phrase or choose a new one targeting the same grammar issue. After the lesson, review accuracy, fluency and grammar.

Can I have an open conversation or make my own lessons?

Not yet. Guided phrase practice is available now. Open conversation, custom lessons and saved vocabulary are planned features, not part of the current app.

A little practice. Another attempt.

Make your next Spanish sentence feel easier.

Start with a phrase. Say it out loud. Take it from there.
